The top of the Trail Runner Free lineup, the Ultra comes with both the 4.0Ah long-distance battery pack and the Hybrid Battery Case, giving you two distinct power options in one package. The 4.0Ah battery sits in a multi-attachment Velcro soft case and delivers extended burn time for those sessions where cutting it short isn't an option. A four-step battery indicator tracks remaining charge so you're never caught guessing on a long effort. Despite carrying that larger pack, the complete setup weighs just 141 grams, which is a remarkable number for a high-endurance lighting system.

The fifth-generation Free Technology keeps the power cord integrated into the headband, eliminating external cables entirely. The 55-gram lamp unit stays balanced and centred, the silicone-lined soft headband grips without clamping, and the flat textile cord stays flush and tangle-free regardless of pace or terrain. The Hybrid Battery Case accepts the Silva Hybrid Battery 1.15Ah (sold separately) or 3x AAA batteries as a backup, and its integrated red rear safety light adds visibility without extra accessories. The extension cord lets you run the battery from a warm pocket in cold Canadian conditions.
